PRLog (Press Release)– Apr 09, 2011– On April 19th and 20nd at 8:30am, the WoM alumni will embark upon a two-day fun-filled, educational scavenger hunt entitled the "WorldofMoney.org Amazing Race". From the Cloisters to Wall Street. The first phase of the race will take place from the Cloisters to Central Park South. The second phase will range from the Central Park South/Time Warner Building to Wall Street. Youth teams will race to each business/historical landmark where they will perform tasks. The winning team crossing the finish line on April 20th will be awarded a grand prize.

Thus far, the following entities are confirmed: The Cloisters, Morris-Jumel Mansion, Malcolm X/Betty Shabazz Museum, Dance Theater of Harlem, Harlem School of the Arts, Harlem Bikram Yoga, Energy Kitchen, Mod Squad Cycles and Kidberry NYC et al. This activity will encourage teamwork, self-reliance, creativity, perseverance and positive attitude. WorldofMoney.org joins President Barack Obama's Proclamation, calling on all Americans to improve their understanding of financial principles and practices. WorldofMoney.org Founder/CEO Sabrina Lamb has designated 2011 as "The Year of Developing Capable Youth" and is determined to develop financially responsible adults; one child at a time.

The WorldofMoney.org was launched in December of 2005, quickly amassing an ambitious roster of financial experts who remain committed to empowering underserved youth with a sound financial foundation, graduating hundreds of students.  The WorldofMoney.org provides underserved youth, ages 9 – 18, with the empowering tools to survive economic cycles, by examining their own money mindsets to create budgets, establish savings plans, manage/avoid debt, understand investment strategies, set financial legacies and make sound decisions for their education and retirement.
