PRLog (Press Release)– Jul 21, 2011– The British steel and aluminium industries appear to be in terminal decline due to a deteriorating market  environment and regulation on emissions that is stalling recovery and raising investor wariness.  The steel industry's rec corsa overy went into reverse in H210, leading to a decline in crude output of 3.5% to  9.71mn tonnes, which was below BMI's estimate of 10.06mn tonnes due to a poorer than expected Q410.  There was little improvement going into 2011 with output in the first two months down 5% year-on-year  (y-o-y) to 1.65mn tonnes and average monthly output had not changed since previous months. As a result  of continued lacklustre growth and broader economic fore rc helicopter and car market place casts, BMI has revised down crude steel  production growth from 19.3% to 1.9%, with output remaining at under 10mn tonnes. Hot-rolled  production growth has also been revised down from 18.3% to 2.9%, totalling just 7.50mn tonnes, amid  concerns about declining British competitiveness. The recovery in the sector is now expected to be  delayed until 2012.  The long-term situation facing the UK metals industries is being eroded by environmental regulations  with producers voicing alarm at the carbon floor tax (CFT) outlined in the government's annual budget in  March. Tata Steel Europe, the UK's leading steelmaker, described the plan that involves setting a new  minimum price on carbon emissions as 'a potentially severe blow.' Tata Steel says that the combination  of the UK's unilateral minimum price for carbon emissions on top of the EU's measures will severely  undermine the competitiveness of the British stee dodge l industry, with higher costs for generating electricity  hitting energy-intensive industries such as steel. It is a unique tax not borne by any other steelmaker in the  world and BMI believes it could bring about the demise of large-scale steel production in the UK.  Rio Tinto Alcan, the UK's sole primary aluminium producer, has also cast doubt on the future of its  operations due to the 2011 Budg bmw et's measures and has stated that the future of the Lynemouth smelter, the  largest of the UK's two remaining primary aluminium plants, is at risk. The Lynemouth smelter is also in  danger as its captive coal-fired power station may also have to close under the EU's Large Combustion  Plants directive. The UK has already been hit by the closure of the Anglesey smelter in response to a lack  of long-term supply of cheap electricity, with primary aluminium production capacity now down to  221,000 tonnes per annum (tpa). Smelter closures are unfortunate, given the British aluminium industry's  reputation for being highly efficient. The closure of capacity would invariably increase the UK's reliance  on imported aluminium as well as boosting demand for recycled aluminium. While we forecast a 90%  return to operating rates from 2011, this is weighed down with negative risk with the very real prospect of  one or both of the country's smelters closing amid adverse market conditions.  Ironically, this will benefit less regulated smelters in Asia, which have fewer restrictions on carbon  emissions. The transfer of metals production from the UK to lightly regulated emerging markets    undermines the ultimate objective of the British government of reducing global carbon emissions. On the  upside, there is growing evidence that recovery in the British steel industry will be led by high value  niche production, which is returning back to developed economies from emerging markets. In their drive  to cut costs in a highly competitive market, automotive majors are sourcing parts and components from  developing economies where investment has improved the quality of the manufacturing process, to the  detriment of British automotive suppliers. However, producers report growing interest in British high-end  engineering and BMI foresees a revival of the sector. Yet, growth will largely apply to steel service  centres, rather than upstream continuous casting which BMI believes is in a process of decline in line  with the changing structure of the domestic, European and global economies. PRLog (Press Release)– Jul 19, 2011– LOUDON, NH –  Florida's Blake Koch continued his trek towards the 2011 NASCAR Nationwide Series Sunoco Rookie of the Year title with another impressive run aboard the Daystar Television Network #81 Dodge in Loudon, New Hampshire Saturday afternoon. Taking to the Magic Mile for the first time in his racing career, Koch drove to his second consecutive Rookie of the Race Award with an 18th place finish in the New England 200.

"Loudon was a great point's weekend," said Koch. "I'm really happy with everyone on the Daystar team. This was another new track for me and we worked hard all weekend for this result. If we can keep this going we're going to have a great shot at winning the Rookie of the Year title. I'm not sure what it did to the Rookie standings just yet but we definitely closed in on it."

For Koch, the weekend started off with its share of challenges prior to Saturday's race with tough performances in both practice and qualifying where he timed in 25th on the 1.058 mile oval in the Granite State. It was then that the Daystar Racing Team and MacDonald Motorsports did what they do best when they tightened their belts and went to work on the #81 Dodge Challenger to perfect it in the early laps of the event to gain valuable track position.

"Practice and qualifying didn't go as good as we would have liked," said Koch. "But the guys worked super hard to improve the car during the race and get us that top 20 finish. I'm really happy with the way the weekend turned out."

Following the guidance of his longtime spotter Chris Monez, Koch displayed great patience as he traveled around Loudon's unique surface for the first time in his racing career. Starting 25th, he later faded back as far as the 31st position and benefited from a series of well executed pit stops which began gaining him track position just when it counted the most.

With just 15 laps remaining in the race, Koch had rallied back into the top 25 corsa positions and made the best of the final sprint to the finish. Advancing an impressive five positions during the final laps, Koch worked himself into the 18th position prior to the waving of the checkered flag.

Entering Saturday's race, Koch was just nine points behind Rookie of the Year point leader Timmy Hill. Hill finished 23rd in the event and now the contest for the coveted title is getting hotter than ever. Saturday was Koch's fourth top 20 finish of the season and marked his fifth Sunoco Rookie of the Race Award. The finish was the second best finish at Loudon for the MacDonald Motorsports team and the best finish in the last seven years. Previously, Kevin Lepage drove the team to a 15th place position in 2004.

Now, Koch will focus on carrying his recent strong performances into a third consecutive week as he heads to Nashville Superspeedway this Saturday for the Federated Auto Parts 300. Not only will Koch be blessed with the momentum of two consecutive Rookie of the Race Awards, he will be returning to a track he has already raced on this season.

Back in April of this year, Koch made his first start of his career at Nashville. He started 30th in the event and drove his way to 25th at the finish lin rc helicopter and car market place e. PRLog (Press Release)– Jul 18, 2011– The RHI, which is scheduled to be introduced later this year, guarantees subsidy payments over 20 years that will reduce the payback period for organisations that install ground source heat pump and water source heat pump technology.

According to ENER-G, a 200kW ground source heat pump operating 8 hours a day – typical for a school or moderately sized business premises – will qualify for payments of 3 pence for every kWh of useful heat generated, creating a payment of approximately £210,000 over the 20 year duration of the tariff (based upon 350,000 kW hours of heat produced per annum).

The scheme will provide payments on heat pumps installed since 15 July 2009 and aims to support a range of heating systems at all levels, from small businesses and offices, and public sector buildings right up to large factories.

The RHI will give annual subsidy payments for the production of sustainable heating at a level designed to remove the barriers to installation. The RHI tariff for ground and water source heat pump technology is:

PRLog (Press Release)– Jul 15, 2011– What do The Lifesavors, Andy McCarroll and Moral Support, The 77s, No Laughing Matter, and Weber and the Buzztones all have in common? If you don't know, it's probably because you've never heard of them.

For some strange reason, Christian alternative rock music listeners suffer from an intense sense of either… ignorance… or at least amnesia about the past. A guy named C.S. Lewis used to define this malady as "chronological snobbery." Someone said to me a number of years ago in a place far, far away… "I guess in the 80's the only Christian rock band you had to listen to was Petra… ha ha ha – he he he." Um… wrong :). Long before Relient K, alfa romeo and even much earlier than the O.C. Supertones there was such a "dish" being served which can be dubbed Christian alternative music.

Don't get me wrong, I like Relient K and cohorts, but… MEMO: These chaps really didn't inaugurate Christian pop-punk. Neither did MXPX. Some might argue "they've done it better." Ok - in some ways, perhaps, but like Green Day built on ground broken by The Clash, newer Christian bands have their predecessors to thank for churning up some early dirt. Beyond that, I'm reminded of something Jack White (of White Stripes) once said in an interview (I'll paraphrase) - "most bands look back and like their demo tapes better than the finished recordings - what we decided to do was just release our demos." There is an undeniable value of "demo tape" innocence that can't be measured, and this rings true with the early years of Christian Alternative music. A famous film director once said "if you want to get into film-making, just use what you have and start making movies - there's a lot you can do with just a cam-corder." I look back on the early years of Alt. Christian artists and so much of it has that wonderful, "cam-corder" - esque, no boundaries approach to writing and recording. In comparison, much of what you'll hear on current mainstream Christian radio is chock full of hopelessly, chevrolet polished fences.            

Fortunately, there's a new movement going on. One could even say it's an "old" movement. It's a Christian alternative rock old "school" movement. To get "schooled" in the genre of Alternative Christian Retro, one might try checking out Regeneration Radio live 365 by going right here: http://www.live365.com/stations/jeanibond. Ms. Bond… Jeani… Bond, of Lloyd, Florida has a phenomenal, even incomprehensible, collection of formative, underground, and indie (etc) cuts that would embarrass most people's surface level view – or recollection – of that era of tune-age. Both the music and the graphics are as deeply retro as one can imagine. Even though I was an active participant in the "scene" during that time, I'm blown away by my own shallow remembrance of everything that was going down back then. For instance, Ishmael United – what a great band. They rocked. I mean – what a… great band. corsa Or try Johnny Quest on for size. Or experience Crayzed Bunni ferrari es, The Magnetics, Blush, Blue Trapeze, Pietro Dinzee, or the Felix Culpa. Indies, demos, upbeat and offbeat. This is No Laughing Matter (in case you've heard of them?). People will not hear this on corporate radio – and by that I mean virtually anything you can tune into on your FM dial. There are also many people who still own these records and might get inspired to break them out again to discover they still deliver - including bands such as Andy McCarroll and Moral Support. But what about Opinion 8? New December? And Go Go Street? As Butch and Sundance said; Who… are… those guys? People now have a free opportunity to check them out.
