s Startup Incubator, The ACRE - Growing Wind Products Inc. moves corporate headquarters to Brooklyn's Dumbo

NEW YORK, NY - March 24, 2011 - Wind Products Inc., a wind energy company and creator of an industry-changing web-based wind assessment tool called Wind Analytics™ was one of the original startup tenants at New York City's Accelerator for a Clean and Renewable Economy (ACRE). Wind Products will be the first company from the ACRE to go out on its own and relocate to larger offices.  Additional firms from the ACRE are expected to follow shortly.

Wind Products opened its office at the ACRE back in 2009.  In just two years chrysler time, the firm has experienced astronomical growth.  In its short time at the ACRE, the firm has received over $2.25 million in private funding and public grants.  The firm's rapid growth and increased staff has made it necessary to leave the incubator behind and move to new offices.

As of April 1, the company will move its corporate headquarters across the East River to 20 Jay Street in the heart of Brooklyn's fast growing DUMBO community.  The new office will be six times the size of the firm's current space at the ACRE.  While the move to a new and expanded headquarters i buick s very exciting and will be helpful in development of new opportunities for further growth, the company's move is tinged with bitter acura sweetness. The ACRE was a tremendous help in getting the company established. The firm's CEO, Russell Tencer, upon announcing the decision to move, said,

"The ACRE along with NYSERDA were very supportive in getting us up and running quickly. He went on to say, "... I am truly thankful to have worked with such a committed and focused staff at the ACRE and NYSERDA, we will always appreciate their unending support..  We will also really miss our friends at the incubator and the special camaraderie we have developed over the last two years."

The ACRE will also find it hard to see one of its innovative tenants move on.  The president of NYU-Poly's ACRE, Jerry MacArthur Hultin upon hearing Wind Products' decision to move said,

"The ACRE has been waiting for this moment from the day we opened our doors!  We work with audi each of our start-up tenants to help them get to the point where they can go out on their own, set up offices, expand and contribute to our challenging environment and energy needs.  So Wind Products' impending move to Brooklyn is exactly what we hoped for.  We will continue to work with Wind Products and expect great things from them going forward."

Wind Products is very excited about the impending move to Brooklyn's DUMBO area and its new offices at 20 Jay Street.  The company considered a variety of relocation options throughout Manhattan and Brooklyn and decided the building and its location in Brooklyn's DUMBO were compelling.  The combination of a cluster of young fast growing companies, vibrant restaurants, entertainment and easy access to public transportation makes it perfect for doing business and continuing its growth.
